Martin Thomas

Martin has been an artist all his life. As a child he would more often than not be found with a pad of paper and some pencils, originally sketching pictures of birds from nature books and then moving on to road and racing cars.

After studying art and design at school and college Martin did a degree in Spatial design and regularly incorporated his painting skill in his work and designs where possible.

As an adult Martin enjoys capturing images of his environment, producing acrylic paintings that capture the places and people he encounters in great detail.

Originally taking inspiration from Cornish landscapes Martin now works in the more urban environment of Brighton whilst also taking inspiration from recent trips to India, Tanzania and China.

Martin now has his own gallery in the Artists’ Quarter on Brighton Seafront.
